Mayors Taskforce for Jobs is giving a voice to the youth of New Zealand

The Mayors Taskforce For Jobs is a nationwide network of New Zealand’s Mayors, working together towards the vision of all young people under 25 being engaged in appropriate education, training, work or other positive activity in their communities.

MTFJ started in 2000 with just seven Mayors, and now has a membership of all the country’s sixty-seven Mayors. The MTFJ is governed by the Core Group which includes 16 Mayors from throughout the country, and is Chaired by Mayor Malcolm Campbell from the Kawerau District Council. The Core Group meet quarterly which includes meeting with key government minister's and their departments.
