The Core Group hold quarterly meetings in Wellington with the Ministers and Officials from Government Departments. The Core Group is responsible for the overall vision, direction, leadership and strategic focus of the Taskforce..read more
From humble beginnings in 2008 when 18 Mayors applied for funding to support their Youth Council and/or Youth Reference Group’s chosen activity to celebrate Youth Week, there were 46 applications this year.
This will provide a description of the Youth Transitions page once we work out where the Youth Transitions page goes
The Taskforce has run a number of forums around the country to help the Mayor achieve the Taskforce goals. Forums were held at Clutha and Waitomo held earlier in 2011. Forums are facilitated by Marcus Akuhata-Brown, Celia Lashlie, Jan Francis and Bry Kopu.
Careers Festivals and Expos have become very popular across the country, with a number of districts combining to deliver regional careers information over a number of weeks.
